About Latitude Festival

Latitude Festival by Motorhome

Latitude Festival returns to Henham Park near Southwold, Suffolk from 23 to 26 July 2026 for its 20th anniversary. Unlike many UK festivals, Latitude welcomes motorhomes and campervans on site with dedicated camping fields and no upper size limit. Motorhome hire Latitude Festival gives you a comfortable, self-contained base right inside the festival grounds, with your own bed, kitchen, and bathroom steps from the action. From our depot in Pontefract, the drive to Henham Park takes around four hours via the A1 and A14, making it a manageable journey with a mid-morning departure. This milestone edition promises an expanded programme across music, comedy, theatre, and the arts, all set in the beautiful grounds of a private Suffolk estate.

Campervans and Motorhomes at Latitude

Latitude has two dedicated vehicle camping areas: General Campervan and Family Campervan. The Family area requires at least one child or teenager in your group. Every vehicle needs a separate campervan or motorhome pass purchased alongside your weekend entry ticket, and these sell out well before the festival, so book early. Vehicles are divided into two size categories: under 7 metres and over 7 metres. Our Elddis Autoquest CV80 campervan fits comfortably in the under-7-metre category, while our larger 4 and 6 berth motorhomes fall into the over-7-metre bracket. Browse our motorhome fleet to see which vehicle suits your group. One awning or one tent is permitted per vehicle but not both. Campervan fields open from 2pm on Wednesday 22 July, a day before the main festival begins, giving you time to settle in and choose your pitch. Basic toilet and water point facilities are available from Wednesday, with upgraded boutique bathroom facilities available as a paid add-on.

What to Expect at Latitude 2026

Latitude is a multi-arts festival that goes well beyond music. Alongside the main stages, the programme includes comedy, theatre, cabaret, dance, poetry, literature, film, and science talks. The 2026 line-up features David Byrne headlining on Friday, Teddy Swims on Saturday, and Lewis Capaldi on Sunday, with comedy from Jack Dee, Ross Noble, and Jen Brister. The festival has a strong reputation as one of the most family-friendly major festivals in the UK, attracting around 40,000 people across 800 acres of Suffolk parkland. The atmosphere is noticeably more relaxed than larger festivals, with a culturally diverse audience and a programme that rewards exploring beyond the headline acts. Past editions have featured everything from orchestral performances by the lake to woodland poetry readings and late-night cabaret, and the 20th anniversary programme is expected to be the most ambitious yet.

Getting to Henham Park from Yorkshire

Henham Park is approximately 230 miles from Pontefract. The most direct route heads south on the A1(M) to Peterborough, then east on the A14 toward Ipswich, before taking the A12 north to the Southwold turn-off. In a motorhome, allow around four hours for the journey in normal traffic. The A12 through Suffolk narrows to single carriageway in places, and traffic builds on the Wednesday and Thursday of festival week, so an early start is worthwhile. Consider breaking the journey with a stop near Peterborough or Cambridge if you prefer not to drive four hours straight. Pack your motorhome packing essentials the night before and aim to arrive by early afternoon to get a good pitch in the campervan field.

Campsites Near Latitude Festival

If you prefer to stay off-site and drive in each day, there are several campsites near Southwold that accept motorhomes. Mill Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park at Darsham is about 6 miles from Henham Park, with hardstanding pitches, electric hook-up, and heated shower blocks. Sunnyside Campsite near Halesworth is only 4 miles from the festival site and offers a quieter, back-to-basics farm setting. Southwold Camping and Caravan Site is close to the beach in Southwold itself and accepts motorhomes with electric hook-ups. Staying off-site gives you the option to explore the Suffolk coast around Southwold, Aldeburgh, and Dunwich between festival sessions.

  • Skip the tent and sleep in a proper bed after a long day
  • Your own kitchen means no queueing for overpriced festival food
  • A hot shower waiting for you at the end of each day
  • Secure storage for your belongings while you enjoy the event
  • Arrive early and leave when it suits you

Getting to Latitude Festival from our Pontefract depot is straightforward. We can suggest the best route to avoid event traffic, and our motorhomes are equipped with everything you need for the journey. Fill up the fridge before you leave, set the satnav, and enjoy the drive. Arriving in your own motorhome, fully stocked and ready to go, is a far better start to any event than queuing for shuttle buses.

After the event, you do not need to pack a wet tent into the boot of your car. Simply tidy up, check your mirrors, and drive home in comfort. Many of our customers book an extra night after the event to avoid the rush and enjoy a leisurely drive back. It is a small detail that makes a big difference to the overall experience.

Why Hire a Motorhome for Latitude Festival

A motorhome transforms the festival experience. Instead of sleeping in a tent on the ground, you have a proper bed, a hot shower, and a kitchen where you can cook breakfast before heading to the first act of the day. Motorhome hire Latitude Festival means you arrive with everything you need and avoid the scramble for accommodation in Southwold's limited hotels and guest houses. The dedicated campervan fields at Latitude are well managed with 24-hour security and campsite support teams, so your vehicle is looked after while you are watching the acts. For groups travelling from Yorkshire, sharing the cost of motorhome hire and a campervan pass often works out cheaper per person than hotel rooms, and you get the convenience of being on site rather than commuting in each day. Latitude's relaxed atmosphere and arts-focused programme make it one of the most rewarding festivals to attend by motorhome, and having your own vehicle on site means you can retreat for a rest between sets without missing anything.
