Motorhome Hire FAQ

No. All of our motorhomes are under 3,500kg, so you can drive them on a standard UK car licence (Category B). If you passed your test after January 1997, you're covered. If you passed before that date, you can drive even heavier vehicles. If you're unsure, just check the back of your licence or get in touch and we'll help.

You must be at least 25 years old and have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. This is standard across our fleet and is required by our insurance provider.

Not at all. Most of our customers are first-time hirers and they get comfortable within the first 20 minutes. Our motorhomes drive like a large van, and we have automatic options available if you prefer. We give every customer a full walkthrough before you leave, covering driving tips, parking, and everything you need to know.

Prices start from around £135 per night depending on the motorhome and time of year. Summer and school holidays are peak season and cost more, while autumn and winter offer lower rates. You can see current pricing on each motorhome's page, or check our package deals for discounted rates on longer trips.

Pick the motorhome you'd like from our fleet page, choose your dates, and follow the booking steps. You'll pay a deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due closer to your collection date. If you'd prefer, you can also give us a call or send a message through our contact page and we'll sort it out for you.

Yes. A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your dates. The remaining balance is due before your collection date. We also take a refundable damage deposit which is returned after the motorhome is checked on return, provided there's no damage.

Our cancellation policy depends on how far in advance you cancel. The earlier you let us know, the more flexible we can be. Full details are provided at the time of booking. If you need to change your dates rather than cancel, get in touch and we'll do our best to move things around.

Yes. All of our motorhomes come with an onboard toilet and shower. They also have a full kitchen area with a hob, sink, fridge, and storage. You can see the full spec on each motorhome's page.

Our motorhomes run on diesel. You'll collect with a full tank and we ask that you return it full too. Fuel costs are not included in the hire price.

Yes. We have both manual and automatic motorhomes in our fleet. If you have a preference, you can filter by transmission when browsing our fleet. Automatics are popular so we'd recommend booking early if that's what you're after.

Yes, selected motorhomes in our fleet are dog-friendly. We just ask that you let us know at the time of booking so we can allocate a suitable vehicle. There is a small pet fee to cover the additional cleaning required after your trip.

You collect and return the motorhome from our base in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. We're easy to find and have plenty of space for you to leave your car while you're away. Customers come from all over, including Leeds, Wakefield, Sheffield, York, and further afield.

Collection is typically from 4pm on your start date, and return is by 10am on your end date. This gives us time to clean and prepare the motorhome between bookings. Exact times are confirmed when you book.

Yes. Comprehensive insurance is included with every hire. This covers you for driving in the UK and across Europe. You don't need to arrange any separate cover.

We take a refundable damage deposit before your trip. This is held as security and returned in full after the motorhome is inspected on return, as long as there's no damage beyond normal wear and tear. The amount varies depending on the motorhome.

Yes. Several of our motorhomes are approved for European travel. You'll need to let us know at the time of booking so we can make the right arrangements, including providing the correct insurance documents. There is an additional fee for European trips.

Yes, motorhome hire is a popular choice for festivals and events. Just let us know where you're heading when you book. Some festivals have specific requirements for motorhome pitches, so we'd recommend checking with the event organisers too.

It depends on the time of year. During summer and school holidays, popular campsites book up quickly so we'd recommend reserving ahead. In quieter months you can often turn up and find a pitch. We're happy to share campsite recommendations when you collect your motorhome.

Every hire includes breakdown cover, so you're looked after if anything goes wrong. Call our 24/7 support line and we'll get you back on the road as quickly as possible. In all our years of hiring, breakdowns are very rare, but it's good to know you're covered.

Yes. On collection day we'll spend as long as you need going through everything: how to drive it, how the heating, water, and gas systems work, how to empty the waste tanks, and any tips for your trip. We won't let you leave until you're fully confident.

We don't impose a strict mileage limit on most bookings. You're free to travel wherever you like across the UK (and Europe if arranged). If you're planning a particularly long trip, just let us know and we'll confirm everything upfront.
